You may remember my post a few weeks ago, where I revealed the state of our front garden, well thanks to B&Q and our hard graft, I can now share the results of our #makeanentrance challenge. B&Q gave us a budget to give our front garden some ‘kerb appeal’, I had grand plans to remove the concrete flooring and lay a slate paving slab floor – but with money and time restraints this idea had to go. Perhaps we will get round to it in the Autumn.
Looking at the space, it doesn’t look like we’ve achieved anything, but it has taken us weeks to clear the space of rubble and dig out our old flower bed. Gosh that was such hard work, digging thick clay mud in the rain, and lugging bags of it through the house and loading the car for the tip. We must have been to the tip about 20 times so far, and there is still more to go!
